About the Voice of Science
The project Voice of Science aims to promote the responsible and evidence-based communication of socially relevant topics, such as the environment, energy and health.
We seek to inspire the scientific and professional communities to take an active involvement in media and other public debates, while encouraging decision-makers, the media, NGOs and opinion-leaders alike to look for and verify information with scientists, professionals and other reliable sources.
We believe that scientific facts are the key to responsible decisions on socially relevant issues. This is why we monitor and caution against distorted or erroneous interpretations of scientific findings that are brought up in debates and affect public awareness of socially relevant issues.
The Voice of Science project in 2010 was initiated by British Council Slovenia and Consensus – communications for a responsible society.
